Job Designation:

The Software Engineer provides extensive expertise in the development of a range of software, per product requirements and specifications. Performs code design, software development, testing and integration.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Design, development, integration, and maintenance of real time software applications.
  • Work as part of a team to provide robust, cutting-edge, high-quality training software.

 Job Specifications:

  • 3+ years professional experience as a software developer
  • Skilled at C++ development in a Windows environment
  • Experience working with HLA, FOM, SOM, and RTI
  • Experience working with the VBS4 application
  • Experience working with the OGC CDB standard and OpenFlight format
  • Experience with source control tools (preferably Bitbucket or git)
  • Software design experience
  • Software integration and test experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to both understand and clearly communicate complex technical concepts
  • US person (as defined below)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant field

Desirable attributes for this position:

  • Experience working with simulations and/or game engines (especially Unreal)
  • Experience with creating and documenting software interfaces
  • Experience with real time systems and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of 3D math, graphics and/or physics
  • Experience with firearms handling and marksmanship
  • Experience with Agile development process
  • Experience with Atlassian software tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
