ATLANTA, January 20, 2025 – Virtual precision rifle training just got real. InVeris today announces the first-of-its-kind virtual reality product that allows shooters to use their own duty weapon to train accurately and realistically in a VR environment, fats® PRT.
The latest innovation in the industry-leading fats® product line from InVeris, the fats PRT fills a real void in the training landscape by training on the use of complex reticles with the user’s own rifle. The portable system comes standard with a chassis attachment puck that attaches to the shooter’s rifle, and the ballistic calculator allows customization of the rifle and ballistic data, including choice of ammo. The fats PRT system uses Horus reticles (H59, TREMOR3, TREMOR8, and more), has over 20 training modules, and the ability to manipulate atmospherics and wind.
“Training snipers virtually has a range of benefits, including increasing competency by dry fire repetition and decreasing time to determine wind call and leads on movers, all without range restrictions,” said InVeris chief executive officer Clyde Tuggle. “And of course the cost savings and flexibility of virtual training are a benefit of all fats products.”
