Job Title: Director of Product Strategy

Summary:

We are currently searching for a Director of Product Strategy to join the Senior Management team leading the product strategy. This leader will reside in the Atlanta area.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this critical position will be a member of the Senior management team, ensuring that InVeris’ product line is thoughtfully managed and supported across the primary business functions of sales, engineering, and operations.  The ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded mix of relevant personnel management, technical relevance, and ability to understand and harmonize competing perspectives on potential product development options.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Establish overall direction and strategic initiatives for InVeris products
  • Lead a group of product managers responsible for the InVeris product lines (i.e. Virtual Systems, Virtual Weapons, Live Fire Military, and Live Fire Law Enforcement)
  • Compile/maintain the 1 & 3-year strategic product roadmap
  • Manage the product development process by translating user testing and feedback into feature/function requirements
  • Drive strategic initiatives and long-term growth/profitability plans
  • Responsible for product line competitiveness
  • Analyze and communicate emerging industry trends and market demands
  • Assess competitive threats and recommend countermeasures
  • Coordinate product launch and product marketing with Marketing dept.
  • Manage the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) responsible for ensuring the product is fit for purpose

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify expansion opportunities and mergers and acquisitions
  • Cultivate relationships with customer community (industry leadership, thought leadership)
  • Recommend the pricing of the product in collaboration with Sales and Marketing
  • Set the product image/aesthetics (i.e. how it looks)

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or other technical related course of study
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering or product development/management
  • 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Must be a US person/permanent resident ‘green card’ holder
  • Broad technical skillset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, evolve, and motivate teams and organizations in a highly positive demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Team oriented with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to engage and interact with customers and other stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record in successfully leading teams and personnel
  • Experience with software tools to for product portfolio management in an Agile development environment (e.g. Jira) highly desirable
  • Experience within US government subcontracting and the Defense Industry highly desired

Job Title: Production Scheduling Coordinator

Job Designation

The role of the Production Scheduling Coordinator is designed to be the central point between Operations and Program Management for sales order entry. This position combines all aspects of the business from the receipt of an order to it shipping out the door.

Within in this position it also allows for quoting and order entry from our subsidiary companies again aligning all aspects of the business in one central location. This role works very closely with Production Planning and Purchasing to align requirements to production scheduling within each business area.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Program Managers to obtain information needed for Sales Orders and Customer entry/maintenance
  • Enter and maintain Customer information in ITS’s operating system (Costpoint)
  • Enter and maintain Sales Orders for Virtual, Live Fire LE and Live Fire Military Business Areas in Costpoint
  • Ensures sales orders are reviewed and approved through Costpoint in a timely manner
  • Enter requisitions and reservations as needed to complete Customer Contracts when no ITS part number exists (i.e. Dust Collection Systems, Conveyor Systems, Auger Systems, etc)
  • Update information for large Contracts (i.e. ISMT, EST II, ATSII, etc) on an ongoing basis, per changing installation schedules
  • Enter CapEx requests for all of the SSM group (i.e. demo units for Sales personnel, internal demo equipment, etc)
  • Prepare manual Customs Invoices and Packing Slips for OCONUS shipments as needed
  • Work with Compliance Dept to ensure parts are properly classified
  • Producing and presenting sales quotes to Subsidiaries
  • Attend weekly meetings for Programs and other meetings as required
  • Relieve Front Desk Receptionist for breaks and lunch as needed

Job Specifications

High School degree or equivalent, Deltek Costpoint experience preferred. Basic knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Office experience required. (i.e. Word, Excel).

Personal Attributes

Have time management and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail. The ability to analyze information and use logic to address data entry-related issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Fast and accurate typing with good proofreading ability.

Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) work closely with the Program Managers and project teams to ensure customer expectations are understood and met within the delivery of all our products.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible to identify and translate customer requirements to specific, actionable and measurable performance requirements.
  • Assist in the development of product acceptance test plans.
  • Conduct testing to confirm products meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Lead in the development of small arms simulation courseware to support training needs in order to develop marksmanship skills and low level tactics.
  • Host and deliver product acceptance events with customers.
  • Represent the company during product demonstration in order to generate new business.

Job Specifications

Required Competencies

  • Minimum of 8 years Military or LE experience serving in a leadership role
  • Qualified and competent Weapons instructor (military or LE)
  • Qualified and competent Smalls Arms Range Officer (military, LE or civilian qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of multiple small arms used by US and international forces
  • Familiar with support and indirect fire assets
  • Effective at organizing and coordinating personnel and resources
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent in the use of MS Office tools
  • Excellent presentation skills

Desired competencies

  • 15 years of Military or LE Experience
  • Strong experience in the use of weapons simulators to deliver training
  • Experience in stabilized and un-stabilized gunnery
